The Quick-Release Handle Assembly from Polyvance is a replacement handle kit for nitrogen/hot-air plastic welders, built to get damaged, worn or outdated handles back into proper working condition. Designed for easy installation, it includes all required fittings and strain-relief hardware: pinch clamp, connectors, heat-shrink tubing, barrel nut, socket and ground spring assembly, and a red ergonomic handle with threaded insert.

Please note: If you purchased an 8000 series or 8200 series nitrogen plastic welder built before September 2020 and need a handle, you will need to upgrade to this improved design. This new handle is not compatible with welders built before September 2020, and we no longer have bulkhead connectors available for those welders. To upgrade your welder, you will need to order the Quick-Release Hose Retrofit Kit.

How Can I Tell if I Need to Upgrade?

To determine if you need the retrofit kit, first unscrew the metal collar at the base of your handle. Next, remove the handle from the hose and look at the connector. If the connector is the old style without the metal interlock, you must upgrade to the new style. If you have a new style connector with the metal interlock, you do not need the retrofit kit.
